Quinsa Reports Strong First Half Results

Argentine brewer and soft drink producer Quilmes Industrial (Quinsa) has reported strong results for the first half of 2008. For the six months ending June 30 2008, Quinsa, which is a subsidiary of international brewing giant InBev, reported net sales up 31% to US$811.9 and net profit up 47.9% to US$148.2mn. These results came on the back of a healthy increase in volume sales (see graph).
