Raisio Looks To Exploit Inherent Functional Food Preferences

Finnish food and ingredients group Raisio is to unveil a new range of beverages, containing the functional ingredient Benecol, on to the Indonesian market in tandem with partner Kalbe Nutritionals. While such an added-value, premium product will inevitably only appeal to a tiny band of consumers in a country where per capita food consumption stood at just US$224 in 2007, BMI believes Raisio is targeting a region where consumer preferences are well aligned with its product
