Agricultural Bank Still Extending Major Loans
October 2008 | Industry NewsSaudi Arabia's Agricultural Bank, which was established in order to support the development of the country's agricultural sector, has allocated SAR53bn (US$14.1bn) worth of loans and subsidies for supporting Saudi Arabia's agricultural sector for the year 2007-2008. According to a statement by the bank, it has been positively contributing to support of the sector through a series of soft and interest-free loans, as it looks to improve the country's agricultural output as a means of economic diversification.
