Metro To Expand Cash And Carry Network

November 2008 | Company News Alert

Germany's Metro Group has announced plans to expand its Serbian cash and carry store network through new store openings. Metro opened its first cash and carry stores in Serbia in 2005 with a US$18mn investment, and now has five outlets in the country. With Metro struggling to maintain profitability in its domestic market, it is increasingly looking to emerging markets such as Serbia to achieve growth.
