Beer Protected Against Imitators

Czech beer has now been added to the EU Commission's list of food and drink items that fall under the Index of Protected Designation of Origin, as a protected product based on geographic origins or traditional recipes. This designation should protect Czech beers from any imitations, although it still has yet to be decided how many brewers will be allowed to use the name.
