Carlsberg Confident About Russian Business But Investors Not So Sure

Denmark-based brewer Carlsberg has said that although the Russian beer market may be hit by the global economic situation the firm is confident that it will eventually recover to grow at a faster rate than Denmark, the US or the UK. While BMI thinks that this is not an unreasonable assumption it remains to be seen whether this will be enough to justify the massive price the firm paid to gain full control of Baltic Beverages Holding (BBH), the country' largest brewer.
