Baltika Targets Mercosur Zone

Russian brewer Baltika has started exporting to Uruguay and has announced a long-term goal of establishing a sizeable market in South America. Baltika, owned by Denmark-based brewing giant Carlsberg, accounts for more than 70% of all Russian beer exports and in the first half of 2008 the firm's export sales grew by 32.4% to reach 1.2mn
