Zambian Breweries Invests in New Soft Drinks Plant

According to the Times of Zambia, Zambian Breweries, a subsidiary of global beer and soft drink giant SABMiller, has confirmed that it has started production of soft drinks at a newly constructed plant at its Northern Breweries site in the copper-belt city of Ndola, Zambia's second most populous city after the capital Lusaka. Zambian Breweries has disclosed that it has invested US$20mn in the plant and that it will produce the same quantity and range of products as its Lusaka-based operation.
