Drinks Industry Coping With Major Shortages
September 2008 | Industry NewsAs the political and economic situation declines further in Zimbabwe, it continues to take its toll on the country's food and drink sector. The once-thriving agricultural sector is now barely functioning, while food and drink production is a fraction of what it used to be, as producers deal with a severe shortage of packaging materials, carbon dioxide, raw ingredients, clean water and fuel. This has led to major changes in the local drinks sector, which, although still functioning, has had to overhaul the way in which it operates.
