Oetker No Longer In The Frame To Buy AB InBev's German Business

A report in Germany has suggested that Oetker group has dropped out of the running to acquire the German operations of multinational brewing giant Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev). Oetker had been in talks to acquire the business through its Radeberger subsidiary but has reportedly withdrawn after the two firm's failed to reach an agreement. AB InBev is currently divesting non-core assets, including the German business, to help fund its US$52bn takeover of Anheuser-Busch.
