Coca-Cola İçecek Expands Bottled Water Capacity

Turkey's leading soft drinks company Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI) has acquired the bottled water business of Sandras Natural Source Water Company for around EUR13mn (US$16.53mn). CCI will bottle water under the Damla trade name at a new manufacturing facility. BMI believes the bottled water industry has considerable scope for growth. In 2008 bottled water consumption stood at 8bn litres and to 2013 sales are forecast to grow by 23.36% in value.
