Uniq Looks To Scale Back European Operations

European chilled convenience food group Uniq has posted flat sales (on a constant currency basis) and widening losses for 2008, having been hit by changes in consumer behaviour and rising costs. In response the firm has said that it will review its strategy in Northern Europe and 'actively pursue consolidation opportunities to create value through joint venture[s] or sale[s]'.
