Spinneys Joins Forces With SouqExtra!

Spinneys, the UAE's largest premium end mass grocery retailer (MGR), has announced plans to beef up its footprint by launching up to 10 new stores over the next two years in collaboration with SouqExtra! - a new chain of convenience-focused mini-malls targeting smaller communities. Although the UAE's convenience segment is largely undeveloped and contributed just 4.4% to total MGR sales in 2008, segment sales are forecast to climb by 71.4% through to 2013.
