ANC Holdings Acquires Regional Fisheries Processor

The UAE's ANC Holdings has bolstered its rapidly growing food business by acquiring a 60% stake in Oman-based fisheries processor Dhofar Fisheries for an undisclosed sum. BMI believes the deal is likely to strengthen the market positions of both companies. Although Dhofar rates among the region's leading canned tuna and sardine processors, it probably requires a strategic partner with the financial capabilities of ANC to stand a better chance of maximising its potential.
