Beer Industry And Consumer Confidence Resilient
July 2009 | Industry Trend AnalysisDespite forecast economic growth of just 2.9% in 2009, down from an annual average of a phenomenal 7.2% for the 10 preceding years, Vietnamese consumers are showing signs of resilience, with beer and soft drink sales - already high during the hot summer months - outperforming their seasonal averages. With upside risks to our economic forecast in place, BMI could yet need to amend its forecast of 4.5% sales growth in volume terms for 2009 upwards.
