Sadia Perdigão Merger To Be Delayed
July 2009 | Company News AlertBrazil's antitrust regulator has signalled that the merger between two of the country's largest food firms, Sadia and Perdigão, may not be as straightforward as had been assumed. The Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Economica (Cade) has announced that the two businesses must continue to operate independently until it reaches a final decision on the agreement while Paulo Furquim, the board member responsible for the case, has indicated that approval is unlikely to be granted before the end of the year.
