Hershey Continues To Grow Sales, Preparing For Upturn

US confectionery manufacturer Hershey has raised its full-year sales and earnings forecast after posting strong second quarter results. In the three months to July 5 net turnover increased by 5.9% to US$1.17bn while net income increased by more than 70% to come in at US$71.3mn. The firm has been a strong performer over the last six months, having been boosted by price rises and market share gains.
