Meda Prod H1 Sales Climb On Back Of 60% Capacity Upgrade

Seemingly unperturbed by the downturn, the emerging Romanian meat processor Meda Prod reported a 44% year-on-year (y-o-y) increase in first half turnover (through to June 30 2009) to EUR11.5mn. Over the period, its net income increased by 25% y-o-y to EUR0.37mn. This was made possible by a EUR7mn plant upgrade, which allowed the meat processor to increase its productive capacity by 60%.
