Nestlé To Expand Cereal Business

Spurred on by a promising demand outlook and rising health consciousness, Nestlé is believed to be planning to invest about RUB650mn (US$20.3mn) to bump up capacity at its market leading Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW) manufacturing facility in Russia. A joint venture between Nestlé and US-based General Mils, CPW leads the much sought after market ahead of Kellogg's and will no doubt be encouraged by BMI's forecast that through to 2013, food consumption in Russia will increase by 53.6% to reach RUB9897bn.
