Ambitious Danone Set To Transform Serbian Dairy Landscape

France-based dairy behemoth Groupe Danone looks to set to make a big splash in the Balkan market of Serbia. It is closing in on two of the country's leading dairy companies owned by UK-based Salford Fund in a move that could transform the top-end of the industry. Danone may acquire Mlekara Subotica and perhaps most encouragingly from BMI's point of view, Imlek, which leads the market with an annual turnover in excess of EUR100mn.
