Embotelladoras Arca Expands Bottling Plant

Mexican Coca-Cola bottler Embotelladoras Arca has completed the expansion of a plant in Culiacán, north west Mexico. The firm invested MXN350mn (US$28mn) to expand the plants capacity by 30% to 62mn unit cases, which is set to result in the creation of 180 new jobs. The move comes against a backdrop of a difficult domestic soft drinks market, which has hampered Arca's results in 2009, and indicates that the firm is confident about its long-term growth prospects.
