Cherkizovo To Help Fuel Poultry Self-Sufficiency Drive
December 2009 | Industry Trend AnalysisRussia's largest integrated poultry producer, Cherkizovo Group, has announced plans to finance a massive increase of its poultry operations in its Bryansk production site in Central Russia, not far from Moscow. The first stage of the two-stage project, which is supported by Sberbank, will cost about RUB1.8bn (US$62mn). Both stages of the project are earmarked for completion by 2012 and will almost double the annual capacity of the site to approximately 63,500 tonnes of live poultry.
