Coca-Cola Lining Up Nidan

Coca-Cola is reported to be interested in acquiring Russia's fourth largest fruit juice company Nidan from UK-based private equity fund Lion Capital, according to Reuters, citing sources close to the deal. Any deal would probably be carried out in collaboration with the emerging Europe focused Coca-Cola Hellenic (CCH), Coca-Cola's second-largest anchor bottler, and would see Coca-Cola overtake PepsiCo as the market leader in fruit juices - a segment that BMI believes to be primed for significant long-term
