Raisio Makes Bid For Glisten
February 2010 | Company News AlertFinnish food group Raisio has made a bid for British snack company Glisten, which markets brands such as Skinny Candy, Dormen's nuts and Fruitus, and generated net sales of EUR85.5mn in the year ending June 30 2009. The bid is worth EUR22.8mn, with Raisio saying that the company was motivated by recent growth in premium, healthy snacks. The bid has been approved by Glisten's board, with the company's chair, David Wallis, suggesting it was good for both companies, and will now be voted on by shareholders.
