PepsiCo Unit Targets Convenience Foods Growth

PepsiCo's Polish subsidiary - Pepsi-Cola General Bottlers Poland (PCGBP) - is believed to be nearing completion of modernisation work on two snack food producing Frito Lay plants. Once both plants are fully online, PepsiCo's unit is expected to focus new product development on taking advantage of the population's increasing health-consciousness. Although Coca-Cola's core brands lead the Polish soft drinks market, PepsiCo leads in snack foods with a particularly strong position in potato chips.
