Danone Dairy (Thailand), the local subsidiary of French dairy major Danone, is to double capacity at its recently-opened Thai manufacturing plant with a view to boosting domestic sales by 100% and supporting expansion throughout South East Asia. Still an industry in its infancy in the region, Danone will have to back up its capacity expansion with significant investments in distribution, marketing and price promotions.
