Coca-Cola And Pepsi Likely To Raise Prices

The UAE-based bottlers of PepsiCo and The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) are awaiting permission from the Ministry of Economy (MoE) to raise prices for the fist time in 22 years on the back of sharpening raw material costs that are placing significant pressure on margins. Pending approval, the price of a regular soft drink can is expected to increase from AED1 to between AED1.5-2.
