Thai retailer Siam Makro has entered into partnership with local firm DFM Mini Truck (Thailand) to roll out mobile grocery retail outlets. Siam Makro's short-term target is to sell 100 of the vans, complete with re-stockable merchandise, to its independent retail customers. The mobile stores will benefit independents by enabling them to better meet their customers' needs, while Siam Makro will benefit from improved branding and higher sales.
