Parmalat Records Revenue Growth In 2009, Cautious On 2010

Italian dairy producer Parmalat has posted an increase in revenues and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for 2009. In the 12 months ending in December, Parmalat's revenues increased by 1.4% to EUR3,965mn, while EBITDA increased by 16.2% to EUR368mn. The rise in profits was attributed to price increases and savings on the cost of raw milk, with dairy prices depressed throughout the year.
