Carrefour Victory Leaves It Well-ahead In Indonesia

French retail giant Carrefour has managed to overturn an Indonesian antitrust commission (KPPU) ruling that was to force it to offload its majority stake in the country's number two retailer PT Alfa Retailindo. Carrefour's victory leaves it as the clear market leader in a country in which BMI is forecasting mass grocery retail sales growth of 65% to 2014. Furthermore, the ruling establishes Indonesia as an increasingly important jewel in Carrefour's emerging market
