Low Cost Wines To Continue Outperforming In 2010

Low cost wines are expected to carry on outperforming the wider Romanian alcoholic drinks industry in 2010 as the effects of the downturn (GDP is estimated to have contracted by 7% in 2009) continue to permeate through the sector. According to the Association of National Vineyards and Wine Makers (PNVV), volume wine sales declined by about 10% year-on-year (y-o-y) in 2009, with the low cost segment outperforming.
