Femsa Said To Be Looking At Canadian Bottling Business

According to Mexican newspaper Excelsior, Coca-Cola bottler Femsa is planning to buy the Canadian bottling operations recently sold by Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) to The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC). The paper suggests the Canadian plants would have a valuation of US$4.5bn and have another US$8bn in debt. Neither Femsa nor TCCC has commented on the suggestion. Femsa has previously said it is interested in expanding outside of Latin America but a move into the low-growth North American market would have a transformational impact on the firm's corporate
