Want Want Sees Bright Mainland Future

Hong Kong-listed food and beverage manufacturer Want Want Holdings has announced strong 2009 financial results. Benefiting from strong demand growth and reduced operating costs the company's revenues climbed by 10.1% to US$1.71bn, while operating profit increased by 16.1% to US$355.9mn. Announcement of the forecast-beating results saw Want Want's closing share price climb 10.4% to HKD5.94 (US$0.77) on March 9 2010.
