Staropramen Records Worst Sales Year In Six Years

Reflecting BMI's estimate that headline beer volumes in the Czech Republic dipped by 6.63% year-on-year (y-o-y) in 2009, the flagship beer company Staropramen has posted a 7% y-o-y decline for FY09 (12 months ending December 31 2009) headline beer volume sales. Acquired by CVC Capital Partners in 2009 as part of AB InBev's US$2.2bn Central and Eastern European (CEE) divestment programme, Staropramen's export volumes slid by 11% y-o-y as weakness caused by the recession swept away
