Chocolates Reveals International Coffee Push

In an interview with Reuters, Colombia's largest food company Grupo Nacional de Chocolates has said it expects its coffee export sales to increase by 45% in 2010. Chocolates anticipates that sales will rise to US$135mn from US$93mn in 2009, with growth coming from expansion into new markets as well as increased sales of higher-priced, speciality coffee. Geographic expansion is set to focus on the Middle East, with Chocolates announcing it will begin selling coffee in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar
