Diversification Driving Almarai Growth

Fresh off reporting a 13.5% year-on-year (y-o-y) Q4 (three months to December 31 2009) net income increase to SAR248.8mn (US$66.35mn), the Gulf region's largest dairy company by market capitalisation, Almarai, is reported to be close to finalising a pediatric nutrition joint venture (JV) with US baby food company Mead Johnson. This is a deal that BMI believes would represent another major breakthrough in Almarai's pursuit of both geographical and product revenue contribution growth.
