ABI And MillerCoors Hit By Falling US Volumes, BMI Sees Little Reason For Near Term Optimism
May 2010 | Company News AlertDemand for beer in the US continues to fall, with the two leading industry players reporting declining volumes for the first quarter of 2009. In the three months to the end of March the country's leading brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI) reported a volume decline of 6.1% for its North American operations, while second-placed MillerCoors, a joint venture owned by UK-based SABMiller and Canada-based Molson Coors, reported a volume decline of 3%.
