Headwinds Build For Thai Beer

We expect a recovery for the Thai beer market in 2010, with sales increasing after the recession-hit down year of 2009. However, we expect this recovery to be fairly modest as lingering economic uncertainty and ongoing political unrest weigh on growth. This view is supported by the mixed first quarter financial performance of alcoholic drinks market leader Thai Beverage (ThaiBev), which saw sales rise on increased selling prices but which saw profits plummet as selling costs
