Danone Becomes Largest Dairy Company

Danone Romania has emerged as the country's leading dairy company by annual sales, overtaking FrieslandCampina. According to data released by Romania's trade registry, Danone's 2009 sales grew 2.8% year-on-year (y-o-y), to RON434.6mn (EUR104.4mn). Romania is one our favourite consumer markets in emerging Europe, with plenty of scope for growth across key dairy segments.
