Danone Could Exit Water If Slump Continues

French food and drink giant Danone has reported healthy volume growth for its two most important bottled water brands in its domestic market since the start of the year. Danone reports that volume sales of Evian since the beginning of 2010 are up by 4%, while sales of Volvic are up by 9%. The firm reports that the overall market has inched up by 0.5% since the start of the year, suggesting possible signs of a turnaround for the beleaguered sector.
