Belgium Retail To Remain Favourable for Discounters

Belgian discount supermarket operator Colruyt is proving to be well positioned to benefit from the current economic environment and has posted a rise in sales and earnings for its latest financial year. In the 12 months to the end of March, Colruyt's revenues increased by 7.9% to reach EUR6.75bn while earnings increased by 8.3% to EUR329.6mn.
