Arca Pays Price For Entering Risky Argentina In 2008

Mexican Coca-Cola bottler Embotelladoras Arca has posted a rise in sales but a drop in earnings for the first half of 2010 and reported that the period had been more challenging than had previously been expected. In the six months to the end of June the firm's net sales increased by 7.4% to MXN6.6bn but operating profits fell by 2.8% to MXN1.15bn, while net profits fell by 6.5% to MXN1.2bn.
