Saudi Consumer Spending To Lead Gulf Region

Saudi Arabia's short and medium-term consumer outlook looks strong. It is coming out of the 2009 slowdown robustly with consumer spending expected to outperform real GDP growth in 2010. While Saudi Arabia will likely rely on energy exports to shape the performance of its economy for the foreseeable future, we do expect the domestic demand story to contribute more over the coming years - helped by a favourable demographic outlook.
