Beer Poised To Piggyback On Strong Economic Outlook

We see per capita beer consumption growing from about 8.5 litres in 2010 to about 10 litres by 2014, taking into account anticipated population growth. While Ghana's beer industry has arguably been quite slow to get out of its traps over the past few years - compared to some of Sub-Saharan Africa's fastest growing beer markets - strong growth is expected over BMI's forecast period to 2014. Headline average annual volume growth of 5.5% is expected over this period.
