BMI Believes General Mills Could Be Motivated To Bid For Yoplait
September 2010 | Company News AlertUK newspaper The Sunday Times has reported that US Food Group General Mills is considering launching a bid for French Yoghurt maker Yoplait, which is co-owned by French milk cooperative Sodiaal and private equity group PAI Partners. For thirty years General Mills has held a license to produce the Yoplait brand in the US, but in early September General Mills announced that it was fighting an effort from the French group to terminate this agreement.
