Carbonates To Lead As Soft Drinks Look Set To Boom

BMI expects soft drinks to perform dynamically to 2014 with the core bottled water, carbonates and fruit juice segments all poised for double-digit annual volume growth. This is in keeping with our upbeat view on consumer spending in Egypt where rising incomes and a population nearing 85mn make it a stand out Middle East and North Africa (MENA) market. The soft drinks industry is greatly assisted of course by the fact that about 90% of the Egyptian population practise Islam and do not consume alcohol.
