Coca-Cola Prepares For F&N-Free Future

Part of a five-year MYR1bn (US$302.7mn) investment plan, US soft drinks behemoth The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) has commenced work on a new carbonated drink bottling plant in Malaysia. Important preparations for when TCCC's distribution deal with local soft drink market leader Fraser & Neave (F&N) expires in September 2011, expansion should leave the US major well-poised to exploit forecast soft drinks sales growth of 42.2% to 2014.
