Seven & I Holdings To Build Scale Despite Sober Retail Outlook

Japanese retail giant Seven & I Holdings plans to launch small-format supermarkets across various cities in Japan in a bid to build scale and market share in the country's highly saturated and challenging retail market. It is aiming to launch around ten stores in Tokyo by H111 (calendar) and up to 100 stores nationwide by 2013.
