Metro Launching Up To 15 Outlets In Promising EM
October 2009 | Company News AlertGerman wholesale giant Metro Group has launched its first Cash & Carry store in the emerging European state of Kazakhstan in a landmark move that is likely to speed up the transition to organised retail. Spurred on by untapped demand for wholesale retailing, Metro is believed to have earmarked plans to launch a further 15 stores in the oil-exporting state over the coming years. BMI believes that the retailer's entry is likely to bring producers and consumers into greater alignment by significantly strengthening internal trade systems currently held back by weak supply
