Premier Foods In Talks Over Quorn Unit, BMI Sees Asset Sales On The Way
October 2010 | Company News AlertUK-based Premier Foods has held discussions for the possible disposal of its meat-free range, which includes the Quorn brand. The sale of the unit could help cut the firm's debts, which spiralled following an acquisition spree in the years leading up to the economic downturn. The company has said it is open minded to disposals but has so far not spelled out which brands it would like to offload. It clearly wishes to hold onto the brands with the most potential and as a steadily growing business with a fairly unique positioning BMI sees the Quorn brand as one unit
